The Christmas Guest:
A musical adaptation of Markham's poem
A musical adaptation of Edwin Markham's famous poem "How the Great Guest Came." For years, this beautiful story in play form has been one of our best sellers. Now, by popular demand, it has been adapted it into a dramatized musical. Four melodic songs with dialog tell the story of Conrad, the shoemaker. The Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying he would visit on Christmas Eve. All night long, Conrad waits for Jesus. But his only visitors are a weary beggar, an old woman and a lost child. He fulfills each of their needs. The voice of the Lord later reveals, in song, the truth of his visitors. Cast: 4M, 3W, 1 child, adjustable. All ages. 20 minutes.
