We Will Walk Hand in Hand

Camp ministry is a pilgrimage for those who are campers and, just as much, for those that work there. The image of two people sharing a path, walking hand in hand conveys the equality and non-hierarchical nature for which camps strive. It evokes the idea that we are both leaders and being led in this pilgrimage of becoming. The stories, scripture and songs reflect the act of embarking on a pilgrimage, or being in a sacred place, or remembering the sacred place once we have returned.
