Baptism

A ritual in which new believers publicly confirm their faith in Jesus by being immersed in water or having water poured or sprinkled over them. Baptism is a sign of receiving and accepting God’s salvation - including the forgiveness of sin - and taking up the calling to be ambassadors for God’s saving work in the world.  (One of the church’s ordinances)
