A Retreat Guide to Vulnerable Faith: Missional Living in the Radical Way of St. Patrick

The following resource is designed to help individuals and groups who are reading Vulnerable Faith: Missional Living in the Radical Way of St. Patrick get the most out of the experience. It includes prayers, Scripture readings, reflections and readings. While it is set up as a five day retreat guide, you can use the book in any way that serves you. Some might do one session a week, others might take the full five days, while still others might do the whole guide over a weekend. Do what works best for you and/or your group.

As the introduction indicates, the path of Jesus modelled by St. Patrick is a path of sacrifice and service. It is a path to and beyond the cross of Christ. Therefore, be sure to give yourself the time you need to process the questions and themes in the book. Like anything of value in life, the more you put into this process, the more you will get out of it.

Again, while this can be used as a private resource for individuals, I highly encourage you to consider using it with at least one other person, if not a small group. In addition to the themes centering around what it means to build community (making a group context quite helpful), it can also raise strong feelings and memories for many people. Having others around who you trust can make this process safer and more productive.
