This unit goes beyond trendy environmental concerns and challenges youth to see environmental awareness as a religious issue. If Christians believe that God made the world, we do not need any more compelling reason to care for it than that God has handed us a treasure to hold and protect. From that underpinning, based on the book of Genesis, youth will explore ways to connect faith and action. Even though storms of ecological crisis threaten, God uses small acts of faith to accomplish great healing in humanity's relationship with creation.
