Moneytalk: Living Generously
Curriculum Book Series
Money talks. Every time it is used, money illustrates values, confirms choices, and releases spiritual energy. What should youth know about money? What should they be able to say about how God intends for resources to be used? How does the way they use money demonstrate what they believe about God? This unit will help youth articulate faith understandings about money and put these beliefs at the heart of life.
Manufacturers target North American youth as consumers who possess a high percentage of disposable income. But all earning and use of money should reflect the values of the realm of God. We give some of this money in worship to God. We keep some to enjoy. The rest we use in generous ways that honour God. While these sessions have some exercises in money management, the main purpose is to pass on Christain understandings about money.
