Partners in Peace: God's Vision of Shalom in the Book of Romans

Like much of the Bible, the book of Romans is often read in ways that would probably shock its original author. Far from blessing an individual experience of salvation as an end in itself, Paul wants to open our minds and hearts to a larger vision of what God is doing with humanity and in creation. This fresh study shows how God, through Christ, relentlessly works for peace in the world, and calls us to make that peace our highest aspiration.
