Book, 2009, 509 pp
This German language work contains a biography of Benjamin H. Unruh (1881-1959), theologian and stateman, born in Russia, educated at the University of Basil in Switzerland, and whose most significant contribution was working as a mediator and spokesman for Mennonites who left Russia since the Russian Revolution (1917) to establish new homes in Canada and South America. Written by his son Heinrich B. Unruh (1911-2003) and supplemented by a substantial Nachwort by Peter Letkemann of Winnipeg, this book provides a valuable new perspective on an important Mennonite leader.
