Side by Side: A memoir of Parents, Anna Enns & Heinrich M. Epp
This book contains the story of the life of Anna Enns (1902-1958) and Heinrich M. Epp (1904-1958) who emigrated from the Caucasus, Russia, to the Canadian prairies in 1924, motivated by the effects of war, famine, poverty and illness. Upon arriving in Canada they farmed in Manitoba and then moved to BC in 1945. Heinrich was a leading minister in Lena, Manitoba and an Elder in the West Abbotsford Mennonite Church in BC. Heinrich and Anna died in 1958, leaving thirteen children ages 10 to 33 and ten grandchildren. Today, the number of descendants has grown to more than 240.
