On January 21, six Canadians left Vancouver, B.C. to participate in a ten day Mennonite Church Canada Learning Tour to Mindanao in the Philippines. This colourful photographic collection documents that trip.
We arrived in Davao City January 23. The week long Peace and Reconciliation Field Exposure Program (PARFEB) began with an orientation to the work of Peacebuilders community Inc. (PBC).
January 26 to 29 we travelled to Cotabato City, Midsayap, Sultan Kudarat, Ampatuan, Mt Matutum and General Santos City. We participated int he PBCI meetings scheduled for that week. On our way back to Davao we took a detour at Digos City to take in the Camp Sabros zip line.
January 30 was a day of rest and debriefing at Paradise Island Resort.
After one last stop at Coffee for Peace we left Davao City, we arrived home, full of stories and memories, in the early afternoon of January 31, 2010.
