By God's Grace: Ministry with Native People in Pauingassi

Book, 1991, 114 pp

Henry and Elna were married in 1952 and taught in northern Manitoba for three years. Their work with Mennonite Pioneer Mission began in 1955 when they were called to the Saulteaux community of Pauingassi. This book recounts their 15-year experience there.

After serving two years as pastor of the Springstein Mennonite Church from 1971-1973, the Neufelds resumed work as full-time itinerant workers under the Native Ministries program (formerly Mennonite Pioneer Mission) of the Conference of Mennonites in Canada. With Winnipeg as their home base, they made up to 30 trips a year to northern Manitoba communities in their preaching, teaching, translating, and pastoral ministry.
