Hidden Acres Mennonite Camp & Retreat Centre: 50 Years of Sowing in Faith, Growing in Service

As one looks beyond the first fifty years, it is difficult to image what the camps program will look like in the future. Based on the past fifty years, we can affirm that the God who was active in past endeavors will continue to empower the persons to serve effectively if they remain sensitive to the leading of God's spirit.

The reader is invited to engage the story that follows with the awareness that those who served in the early programs had minimal training in running a camp program. They were keenly aware of their limitations resulting in a heavy reliance on the Holy Spirit's guidance. In addition, they drew heavily on the expertise of persons who had camping experience.

It is hoped that the Hidden Acres story will inspire the reader to faithfully serve in their ministry context.
