Embrace the time spent at the table together. This time can be nourishing far beyond the nutritional aspects of any meal.

Since 1942, InterVarsity Pioneer Camp Manitoba has shaped and transformed the lives of campers, staff and all who visit MacKinnon and Cash Islands in Shoal Lake on Lake of the Woods, which spans the border of Manitoba and Ontario, Canada. As we celebrate the 75th year of this community, we also celebrate the gift of serving each other well.

Over the years that Chef Sharon Steward has served at Pioneer Camp Manitoba, the impact of a healthful, balanced, home-cooked menu on our community has become evident. Volume: Cooking for a Community invites you to cook with and for your own community. With 50 recipes encompassing menus for morning, midday and evening meals that each have measurements for 4-6 people and 80 or more guests, this book is a resource that will benefit many communities beyond Pioneer.

Volume: Cooking for a Community is a cookbook that celebrates the beloved recipes and community atmosphere that have profoundly shaped the experience at Pioneer Camp Manitoba. We invite you to use Volume as a guide and trusted resource for meal planning, and an inspiration for preparing--and sharing--good food.
