Jackson was born in Mugimbu, Burundi. Violence interrupted his childhood. Surviving and escaping from capture by rebel soldiers, he spent years wandering through conflict in four countries.
After finally escaping war, he returned to rebuild his home. With persistence and determination he is now dedicated to creating peaceful communities in Burundi through efforts in health care and sustainable development.
