Come to Bethlehem: A Christmas Invitation in Word and Song

Seven short scenes include the following stories and characters: Rachel (Genesis 29-35); Ruth; Samuel (1 Samuel 1, 3, 9, 16); David (1 Samuel 16, 2 Samuel 2); Mary (Matthew 1-2, Luke 1-2); Shepherds (Luke 2); Wise Men (Matthew 2).

This play is readily adaptable to any local situation. Two people, or twenty or more, can present it. Speaking parts can be taken by adults or older children. Smaller children can play various other parts.

Originally designed to be used in a communion service. It may also be used as a pageant separate from any worship service. Presentation time is 40 minutes.
