The Pathway to Leadership program has been brought to your attention for a reason. Together with congregational leaders (e.g. Christian educator, youth, church or worship leaders) determine the need for a leadership event for junior youth and adult mentors in your congregation, community or region. The objectives of the event:
To develop in each junior youth participant a repertoire of leadership skills for use in their congregation and community
To involve each adult participant in actively participating in "their" junior youth's skill development, committing themselves to serve as mentors and supporters when they return home
To have the leadership team, especially the youth leaders, model strong leadership skills
To involve all participants in celebrating the pleasure of serving God and rejoicing in God's presence
