2008 Stewardship Sunday

These worship resources are designed to assist you in planning worship for Stewardship Sunday. On this Sunday we focus on our task of faithfully managing the gifts God has given us, particularly the material goods. Whether we consider ourselves rich or poor, it is easy to be enthralled with wealth and its accessories, and to assume that if we had more we would be satisfied. Two scriptures chosen for this service provide a crucial challenge for us (Proverbs 30:7-9 and Philippians 4:11-13). The writers of both these texts have found that satisfaction is not dependent on attaining wealth but on trusting in God, who supplies us with the strength we need to live faithfully.
