Under the Surface: Mining, Violence and Solidarity: 2012 Peace Sunday Packet

MCC’s Peace Sunday Packet is a worship, study and response resource to be used the Sunday on or before Remembrance Day. This year, it connects us with our global neighbours who often suffer violence and injustice as a result of bad mining practices.

For Christians, solidarity with our global sisters and brothers means moving beyond learning about issues and beyond praying for peace to truly heeding Jesus’ call to live as neighbours. We respond by listening to their voices and then looking for peacemaking solutions that will move us to action, locally and globally.
