2015 Stewardship Sunday: Speak, Lord, We Are Listening

To whom do we listen when it comes to finances (financial health, financial security, financial planning, etc.)? Likely some of us just wish we didn’t have to think about finances, but then end up worrying about money a lot of the time. Others of us spend time thinking with professional advisors who help with saving and investing our money. Are there voices, too, that remind us to be generous?

These worship resources invite us to consider listening to God’s voice as we make decisions (conscious or otherwise) about our finances. Opening this somewhat closed part of our lives in worship may help us to forge communities of resilience in a culture of never enough. In worship, we have the opportunity to listen to God’s voice and open our hands in gratitude for all that God has done for us. In worship, we can also open our lives to one another as we seek to hear God’s voice together.

While designed to assist you in planning worship for Stewardship Sunday on the third Sunday in January, these resources can be used any time during the church year.
