Nanabush & Buddha Link Arms:
Why Treaties Matter to Religious Communities?
Call for Pitches
What gifts do Muslim, Buddhist, and Jewish traditions have to help us all live into the spirit and intent of Treaty? What does it mean to be Sikh or Christian and live faithfully in non-Treatied BC or the lands of the Dish with One Spoon?
Darren Courchene (Treaty Relations Commission of Manitoba) and Steve Heinrichs (Mennonite Church Canada) are putting together an exciting new book, Nanabush and Buddha Link Arms: Why Treaties Matter to Religious Communities? If you’d like to be a part of this project, or have a friend that would be perfect for it, please send us a pitch! University of Manitoba is the likely publisher and honoraria are available.
Details about the book and the pitch can be found in here.
