The Vision statement, first adopted in 1995 - and now available in multiple languages - is intended to provide focus and energy to the Mennonite church in North America. The vision statement builds on the distinctive emphases of Mennonite faith - following the example and teachings of Jesus, being nurtured in faith communities, and being peacemakers and reconcilers - while calling us to discover a new intimacy with God, to experience grace and joyful celebration in our communities, and to seek healing and hope for ourselves, our churches and our broken world.
The Statement of Identity and Purpose was approved at the 2005 Assembly for Mennonite Church Canada.
Included here are:
- Vietnamese bookmark (PDF) of the Vision Statement
- Vietnamese text (PDF) of both statements
- The Vietnamese reading of both statements (MP3 audio file).
