Our Lives are in Your Hands: Year B, Lent 2009

This year, our Lent materials invite us on a Lenten journey of trust and surrender as we prepare and participate in worship and active responses in our homes and congregations. May we grow in joy and trust on this journey of faithfully following Jesus, no matter where we are on our journey of faith, knowing that our lives are indeed in God’s hands.

This resource for the home is adapted from the congregational resource for Lent, which is available in the Mennonite Church resource: Leader– Equipping the Missional Congregation, prepared for us by the Pacific Southwest Conference of Mennonite Church USA. Use the resource whenever and however it fits into your home’s routines and life stage realities. If your family has younger children, feel free to simplify, shorten and paraphrase the prayers and pondering thoughts. To use this booklet for daily worship times, repeat the litany for each day of the week, read the daily scripture recommendation and choose an appropriate response activity.
