Susanne Remembers: A Mennonte childhood in revolutionary Russia

Susanne Willms Thielman was born on the eve of World War One in the Mennonite settlement of Molochna in the present-day Ukraine. While her childhood was characterized by war, civil war, anarchy, and famine as well as persecution by a communist regime determined to destroy the Mennonite faith and way of life, Susanne emerged from it with a stronger faith and vibrant outlook on life. Susanne Remembers is a well-written book, a gift for those interested in the history of Mennonite community.
