Hungry, Thirsty, a Stranger: The MCC Experience

Among Mennonite institutions Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) is a large organization with a thousand workers, ten thousand part-time volunteers, ten thousand worker alumni, programs in fifty countries (many of them in international crisis areas), and an annual operating budget exceeding thirty-three million dollars.

This book is intended for MCC workers and friends who wish to gain understanding of the larger MCC experience, for persons contemplating MCC service, and for those who are curious about an agency that is present in diverse and faraway places. It is designed particularly for study groups, who are encouraged to dialogue on issues of life and death, war and peace, wealth and poverty, justice and injustice, love and hope.
