The Screwtape Letters, written in 1941 by C. S. Lewis, was a fictional series of letters from a senior demon Screwtape to his nephew Wormwood, a junior tempter. They concern Wormwood's 'patient', and his difficulties in keeping him from embracing Christianity. It was recorded in 1999 by John Cleese.
