In 1906, Annie Clemmer Funk left her home in the "Butter Valley" of Hereford, Pennsylvania, to go to India, one of the first Mennonite overseas missionaries. Six years later, on a hastily arranged trip to visit her ailing mother, she booked passage on the ill-fated RMS Titanic.
This 36 minute documentary tells the story of Annie's life of preparation, openness, waiting, and response, and of early Mennonite mission activity, the Titanic disaster, and the need to remember Annie Funk (and the Titanic).
