Sports, Families and Faith: Part 2 (of 2)

2012, 14:30 min
In the 30th Anniversary Edition of Living More With Less, David contributed a helpful list of eight ways to “Balance kids’ sports time with family time.” On the list were ideas such as “Don’t attend every practice and game” and “Remember that more isn’t always better. You wouldn’t let your child eat the whole jar of peanut butter, so why let them play every sport every season?”

As director of athletics at Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) Dave oversees 15 intercollegiate sports programs. He grew up playing backyard sports and participated in high school and college organized sports; all three of his children did as well. He has coached junior high boys’ soccer and basketball and JV high school girls’ basketball.
