In 2008/09, Mennonite Church Canada began developing and then testing the "Being a Faithful Church Process". The BFC process is designed to better equip congregations and individuals to discern scripture for our time.
In 2011, leaders developed a plan to discern faithfulness on matters of sexuality using the BFC discernment process.
From 2012-2014, several resources were made available to congregations to assist their discernment using the BFC process.
In 2014, the BFC Task Force asked Loren Johns, Professor of New Testament at Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary, to share his thoughts on the topic of the Bible and sexuality. Dr. Johns has followed and researched this topic for over 30 years.
Also available as a PDF document, in English and Korean.
