Technology and social media have many benefits that can contribute to the health and functioning of our congregation. It requires knowledge and skill to use these tools optimally. As a congregation, we want to use technology positively.

Sometimes people use technology in ways that are negative. For example, people may use social media to engage in arguments rather than meeting face to face. While this may seem “easier,” because one does not have to face the other person, social media and email can contribute significantly to small disagreements escalating quickly into major conflicts.
