We recognize the dignity and worth of each individual as loved by God. Each one is worthy of respect. This respect extends to information about individuals. Each one has the right to share and disclose their personal information only to whom and when they wish to do so excepting as required by law and for certain agreed-upon circumstances. As part of our congregational life, congregants (whether members, adherents or others) may provide personal information such as their health status and location (e.g. “I’m in hospital”), financial contributions and email addresses that are generally considered to be personal and therefore should be kept confidential unless express consent is given.
