What's It Like to be a Refugee in Canada?: Former Refugees Share Their First Memories of Canada

As Syrian refugees continue to arrive in Canada, they will be faced with colder weather, different customs and new challenges. The National Post reached out to former refugees to have them share what they learned as newcomers to Canada and what we should all keep in mind as new refugees land on Canadian soil. The 12 former refugees who participated in this project arrived in Canada under different circumstances over the span of nearly seven decades.
