Living My Culture: Canadian Virtual Hospice

Quality palliative care helps you honour your culture, spirituality and traditions. At LivingMyCulture, people from various cultures share their stories and wisdom about living with serious illness, end of life and grief to support others.

Virtual Hospice, in collaboration with pan-Canadian partners has launched this website to support quality care at end of life that is culturally safe and inclusive. In this video series, members from eleven of Canada’s cultural communities share their stories and wisdom about living with serious illness, end of life and grief to support others in over 600 video clips. The cultures engaged include: Chinese, Ethiopian, Filipino, Indian, Iranian, Italian, Pakistani, Somali, First Nation, Inuit and Métis.

This website was developed by a national team that includes researchers, educators, health providers, people living with advanced illness and families. Funding was provided by the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer.
