On October 25, 2018 we had the special privilege of hosting a dual book launch, of a married couple able to launch their respective books on the same night! Gary has been a Mennonite Church Canada pastor for over 50 years and describes that journey and his learnings in The Pastor-Congregation Duet. Lydia in her book The Challenge is in the Naming outlines her journey toward naming (and being named) both theologian and pastor – operating in scholarly and congregational settings that did not always or readily acknowledge women’s leadership gifts. Both are graduates of CMBC, a predecessor college of CMU and have mentored many CMU graduates in areas of pastoral ministry and feminist theology.
