Open Juried Competition and Exhibition (OJCE) 2019: July - August 2019

2019, 2 pp

This is MSA’s 87th open juried competition and exhibition (OJCE). The OJCE is an annual event that provides an opportunity for all Manitobans to participate in a juried competition where they compete for exhibit space and recognition. Participants enter up to three works for selection by an independent jury.

Two jurors examine the works, always a different team from previous years, one from Manitoba and one from elsewhere in Canada. Usually, about 200 works are entered in the competition, and this year the jurors will select 60-70 works. From those works, the jurors will select ten for awards of excellence.

The resulting exhibition will be open to the public from June 27 - September 14. A free catalogue of the exhibit will be provided, with information about the works, the awards, the jurors, and the Manitoba Society of Artists.
