Adaptation of the AMBS Distance Education Course, Leading God's People, for use in the congregation for lay leadership education. It is assumed that the study approach will be group discussion with the pastor serving as group leader.
It is suggested that you use these eight lessons as a basis for group discussion with persons who are asked to preach on occasion. In addition, you may use the materials (lessons six to eight) to equip persons who plan and lead worship.
Adapting these materials for lay leadership training is an experiment. We encourage you to be creative and flexible in your study approach while using the materials to guide you in your study.
