Blessing New Voices: Prayers of Young People and Worship Resources for Youth Ministry

"Religious puberty" is exciting, needy, and wonderful, as those engaged in confirmation programs can attest. Responding to this age and stage with only mandatory adult Sunday service attendance often results in a ten-year leave of absence from the church. Complementing congregational worship with services focused on the concerns of youth and frequently shaped and led by young people acknowledges the transition and creates a more dynamic faith community because of it.

Maren Tirabassi joins voices with more than 160 young writers (between 12-21) in an exciting medley of worship resources and prayers covering such far-reaching topics as anorexia, new relationships, teenage motherhood, suicide, remarriage of a parent, and many others.
