Early Childhood Birth Narrative Ritual for Advent

This simple retelling of the Advent story is intended for families with preschool children and as a supplement to the At-Home Advent materials.
The retelling is divided into 28 short readings for each day of Advent. Paste each day's reading onto a colourful paper angel. Read and post one angel per day so that there is a whole choir of angels ready for Christmas Eve. Reread the earlier parts of the story each time and allow children to finish the sentences as they become familiar with the story. Sing the hymn "O Come O Come Emmanuel" to begin the ritual. Simple actions are included in the description.
