It's no secret that the Western notion of family has changed dramatically in the last decades. By contrast, the family systems of Bible times may look like a different animal altogether. But here's a newsflash for youth: Family life back then encountered sibling rivalry, the birth order question, the baggage of family histories. This unit will also explore relationships with parents, marriage, and the church as a family. How can the biblical experience and teaching about the family help us to strengthen an increasingly fragile institution?
