From a global perspective, we (World Council of Churches) speak as Christians of diverse traditions to the member churches. We hope local churches will study, discuss and adapt these ecumenical considerations to address their own contexts. In this effort, Christians should seek to go further to produce, in collaboration with neighbours of other religious traditions, commonly agreed guidelines for relations and dialogue that would inform, instruct and enable all to embrace the way of trust and community building.
