Invites you to explore what it means to have a home and the implications for those who do not have such a place. NO PLACE LIKE HOME consists of four “houses,” each with a number of different “rooms” for you to visit.

Each NO PLACE LIKE HOME room includes a variety of activities of varying lengths to be done in groups or by individuals. Pick and choose activities to suit your group’s interests and schedule. Session lengths vary from 30 minutes to two hours.

Leaders require no expertise on the topic of homelessness. Each activity includes scripted passages to be read aloud and easy-to-follow instructions. Leaders are encouraged to visit local social service organizations to learn about specific information for your community prior to facilitating the program.

Each activity involves little preparation, which is clearly outlined at the beginning of each house.
