A Pastoral Pandemic: Remaining Connected During a Time of Disconnection

Take away the freedom to worship and what is left of a church? Lots! was the experience of Charleswood United Church in Winnipeg, MB. A 500 member congregation on the Canadian prairies, Charleswood maintained its community and presence through online services, phone calls, outreach, and lots and lots of letter writing. Pastoral letters, at least once a week if not more, helped this church stay connected to one another and to the core of its faith.

This collection walks the reader through the two-year suspension of gatherings that Charleswood and so many other worship communities endured. Together they helped one another be well, be safe, and be hopeful.
