The objective of this course is to make sense of adolescents from inside out. Every adolescent is an individual of course, but there are some common dynamics that affect all adolescents. Understanding what these dynamics are can provide keys for knowing how to deal with the problems that may arise. Adolescence literally means 'growing into maturity'. An adolescent is neither a child nor adult and therein lays the difficulties, the turbulence, the confusion and the challenges.
Our highly complex society requires a lengthy adolescence and yet provides very few cues for parents and teachers on how to deal with it.
